Market need: More than 90% of the 50,000+ private hospitals in India are less than 100-bedded, Small-to-Medium-sized-Doctor-Owned hospitals (SMH). A huge pain-point of the SMH segment is -: no organized mechanism to search, discover and transact for affordable new & pre-owned medical equipment in a trustworthy manner and find reliable service support. We are addressing this information gap & providing expertise in this ~$8Bn medical equipment market by bringing together buyers, sellers and service providers on one integrated platform - An e-Marketplace for medical equipment. We started out with pre-owned equipment which constitutes about 30% of total market. Access to affordable, good quality equipment and reliable services is crucial to successful delivery of affordable healthcare. Healthcare sector is growing at a CAGR of 15-18%. New facilities are especially coming up in SMH segment and in smaller towns. Major thrust on "Make in India" is encouraging several start-ups and indigenous manufacturers. For both customers and vendors, last-mile access through traditional on-field sales channels is neither cost-effective nor practical any more in the digital world especially Post-COVID.
